Colleen Condon is managing partner of Condon Edwards Family Law & Mediation, which is celebrating its 20th year of business. Colleen (pronouns they/them) is indeed one of those department store Condons. Colleen was born in Charleston because there was a second Condon’s opening in West Ashley in 1970 right before their birth, calling Dad Kelly to come back and work at the store. Grandmom Condon did not ask Colleen and their cousins whether they would serve the Charleston community, but how they would serve. Colleen has served on County Council from 2005 to 2016, AFFA president and board member, LGBTQ advocate, Charleston soccer coach, SC Democratic Party officer, DNC member, and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church vestry and chancellor. Colleen has been honored by City Paper Best Of, Post and Courier Mom’s Choice and Charleston’s Choice, 40 under 40, MOJA, SC Equality, and Trident Literacy Association.
